How to activate eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)

Simply pair up your Android Smart Wearable with your Smartphone via “Wear OS by Google Smartwatch” mobile app and related Android Smart Wearable mobile app (“Related App”); and apply the eSIM Android Smart Wearable service on CMHK Website / CMHK “MyLink” app, to enjoy the easier way for network connection.

Step 1: Pair up your Smart Wearable with “Wear OS by Google Smartwatch” and Related App. (the Related App is subject to the brand of smart device) Step 2: Login to CMHK “MyLink” app or CMHK website

Step 3: Click “VAS Services” on “MyLink” app home page or click “Data & VAS” on CMHK website, click “eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)” to apply the service Step 4: Read and agree “Terms and Conditions”

Step 5: The QR code of “eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)” will be displayed Step 6: Please Scan the QR code according to instructions provided by Smart Device providers in order to activate the “eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)”. Your (Android Smart Wearable) will be connected to the CMHK network after activation

 

Terms and Conditions for eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)

1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 In order to enjoy eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) (the “Service”) using on designated smart device running Wear OS (“Designated Smart Wearable”) which provided by China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited. (“CMHK”), the customer shall acknowledge and agree the following terms and conditions. 
 
2. eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)  
2.1 The Service allows customer to use voice calls and data connection on the paired Designated Smart Wearable using the same mobile number as customer’s designated models of smartphone in Hong Kong. 
2.2 The Service is only applicable to CMHK’s existing customers who have subscribed to the designated mobile service plan (“Mobile Service Plan”), including but not limited to 5G Service Plan,“Supreme Global” Service Plan, “Supreme Asia” Service Plan, “Supreme Greater China” Service Plan, Bay Area Service Plan, 4.5G Full Speed Local Service Plan, 4.5G Full Speed Share Service Plan, “Smart Care” Service Plan and School 4.5G Full Speed Local Service Plan (not applicable to prepaid customers). 
2.3 Designated handset model(s) or device(s) is required to support eSIM service, please click here for the designated handset model(s) or device(s) details. A designated smartphone is required for this Service. Voice calls, data connection and VoLTE must be activated when using this Service.
2.4 Upon successful application, an eSIM will be allocated to Designated Smart Wearable, customer is required to activate the Service on the Designated Smart Wearable according to instructions provided by Designated Smart Wearable providers. 
2.5 Customer can use this Service on only one paired Designated Smart Wearable each time. Once customer switches to use another Designated Smart Wearable, customers are required to re-subscribe the Service and reconnect the eSIM again according to instructions provided by Designated Smart Wearable providers in order to activate the Service. The Service on previous paired Designated Smart Wearable will be terminated immediately. 
2.6 The Service does not support to use outside Hong Kong. 
2.7 Customer understands and agrees that the provision and quality of the Service is contingent upon the technology and performance of the data network. The Service may also be affected by other factors, including but not limited to the mobile device, internet firewall settings, the reliability and security of the internet connection supported by customer’s network and any applicable laws and regulations. The provision of the Service and the manner and the standard of such provision shall be subject to the final decision of CMHK. 
2.8 Usage rules established by CMHK relating to the Service may be controlled and modified by CMHK. CMHK reserves the right to enforce such usage rules without prior notice. 
2.9 Any actions on jailbroken or rooted devices are to be undertaken at the customer’s own risk.
2.10 Mobile data usage / airtime generated when using the Service on Designated Smart Wearable will be deducted from Mobile Service Plan or charged at the applicable thereafter fee.
2.11 (If applicable) If customers using designated call management services (e.g. call forward) or other designated service before subscription to the Service, customers shall apply the setting personally in order to use the related services on Designated Smart Wearable.
2.12 Customer agrees to use the Service for personal and non-commercial use only. 
2.13 Customer understands eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) is not applicable to use the designated VAS or designated call management services or supplementary services.
 
3. Service Charges 
3.1 The Service is free of charge.
3.2 CMHK reserves the right to update and charge the standard monthly fee prevailing at the time to the customers.
3.3 No refund or exchange can be made once the service fees are charged by CMHK and paid by customers.
3.4 These terms and conditions shall be terminated forthwith without compensation or liability on CMHK’s part upon the termination of the General Contract and/or the Mobile Service Plan, regardless the reason of the termination. The obligations of customer shall, however, survive the said termination.
 
4. Miscellaneous
4.1 These terms and conditions form an inseparable and integral part of the General Contract.
4.2 Customer has read, understand and agree to the provisions in the General Personal Information Collection Statement and the Privacy Policy Statement, the full texts of which are available at https://www.hk.chinamobile.com/en/pics.html  and https://www.hk.chinamobile.com/en/privacy.html respectively.
4.3 CMHK reserves the right to vary or amend any of the terms and conditions herein contained. In case of any inconsistency and ambiguity between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the latter shall always prevail.

1. What is eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)? 
eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)allows your Smart Wearable with Wear OS and Smartphone to share the same mobile number with your Smartphone and connect to the mobile network. Without using another SIM or transfer SIM card data from other device, you can keep in touch with your friends even if you haven’t bring along your Smartphone.
 
2. Can I use the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) ? 
Designated Mobile Service Plan and compatible Smartphone & Smart Wearable are required.
 
3. How to check if your Mobile Service Plan is eligible for the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)? 
Please dial*110*210# with your Smartphone to check the eligibility. Mobile Service Plan without voice calls function and non-5G or non-4G Mobile Service Plan are ineligible for the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable).
 
4. Which devices can support the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)?

5. Is it required to apply extra SIM card to use the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)? 
You will not need to apply for extra SIM card. You only need your Smartphone and Android Smart Wearable to activate eSIM (Android Smart Wearable). 
 
6. Is there any change for using the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)? 
eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) is free of charge for CMHK customer with designated Mobile Service Plan.
 
7.  I have subscribed to The Cellular Service on Apple Watch, can I subscribe to eSIM(Android Smart Wearable)?
No. Please visit any CMHK shops or contact our Customers Service Specialist at 2945 8888 to unsubscribe the Cellular Service on Apple Watch first, and subscribe eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) via MyLink App or CMHK website. 
 
8. How to unsubscribe the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)? 
•      Please visit CMHK shops or contact our Customers Service Specialist at 2945 8888.
 
9. I find the introduction of applying eSIM Service via MyLink in eSIM website, however, the interface of the updated MyLink is different to the screen cap in eSIM website, can I apply eSIM Service via updated MyLink?
•      The eSIM Service of updated MyLink is under maintenance, please apply eSIM Service via website for now. Sorry for any inconvenience.
 
 
Use of Service   
 
1. Can I pair up with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)on another applicable Smart Device anytime? 
Yes. When you would like to pair up with another applicable Smart Device, please delete the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)Profile on the currently in used Smart Wearable and pair up your new Smart Wearable with “Wear OS by Google Smartwatch” mobile app. Then, please re-subscribe eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) via “MyLink” app / CMHK Website and reconnect eSIM according to instructions provided by Smart Wearable providers in order to activate the Service. 
 
2. Is there any extra charge for data usage or airtime on Smart Wearable with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)?
Data usage and airtime generated when using the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) on your applicable Smart Wearable will be deducted from Mobile Service Plan or charged at the applicable thereafter fee.
 
3. Can I make international calls on Smart Device with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)?
Yes. If you have subscribed IDD service, you will be able to make international calls on your Smart Wearable with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable). Please note that there might be extra IDD service charge.
 
4. Can I make or receive calls, or use roaming data via my Smart Device with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) while overseas?
No. eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) does not support the Roaming Services.
 
5. If I have 2 applicable Smart Wearable , can I pair both devices with a Smartphone?
No. eSIM (Android Smart Wearable)can only support up to 1 Smartphone with 1 paired Smart Wearable.
 
6. Do I have to re-subscribe the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) if I switch to use another supported Smartphone?
No. If the mobile number and the SIM card in used remain unchanged, you will only need to pair up your Smart Wearable with your new Smartphone via “Wear OS by Google Smartwatch” mobile app and reconnect eSIM according to instructions provided by Smart Wearable providers in order to activate the Service. 
 
7. Can the 4.5G Full Speed Share Service Plan Supplementary SIMs subscribe to the eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) ?
Yes. Each Supplementary SIMs in Share Service Plan can subscribe to an eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) .
 
8. I have subscribed to “1-Card-Multi-Number” Value-added Service. Can I receive incoming calls  on my Smart Device with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable) if someone calls my Mainland China number ?
Yes. You can receive both the incoming call to your Local / Mainland China number via Smart Wearable with eSIM (Android Smart Wearable).
