1. Customer will receive a confirmation SMS upon successful VIP subscription. Service can be activated with the link in the SMS.

 

2. Click “Download JOOX” to download app after enter the page.

 

3. Download the application.

 

4. Register the JOOX account.

 

5. Activation confirmed, and account is registered as VIP.

 

  

For customer who has JOOX app and account

 

1. Customer will receive a confirmation SMS upon successful VIP subscription. Service can be activated with the link in the SMS.

 

2. Click “Open JOOX”after enter page.

 

3. Login account.

 

4. Activation confirmed. Account has been upgraded to VIP.

 

5. Customer can check the status in the JOOX VIP.

Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions of JOOX Music VIP Service

  1. JOOX Music VIP Service (the "Service") is a digital music platform service provided by China Mobile Hong Kong ("CMHK") which allows the customer to enjoy music download and streaming via supported devices or personal computers ("PC") during the subscription period.
  2. The Service is applicable to registered CMHK service plan customers only.
  3. The customer may only listen to the downloaded music during the subscription period. If he/she cancels the Service, all downloaded music will no longer be accessible unless the customer continues to subscribe JOOX VIP Service via other channels.
  4. By subscribing and continuing to use the Service, the customer understands and agrees to be bound by all the terms and conditions contained herein as well as the terms and conditions contained in JOOX User Agreement (please refer to http://www.joox.com/hk/zh_hk/user_agreement for further details), pursuant to which the customer is granted the right to download and stream music for personal and non-commercial use.
  5. The customer agrees that he/she will not use the Service:
    1. to carry out or allow any copyright or other intellectual property infringement;
    2. for any illegal, improper, obscene or defamatory purposes or any other purposes which CMHK prohibits.
  6. CMHK makes no warranty that:
    1. the Service will meet the customer’s requirements;
    2. the Service will be uninterrupted, timely provided, secure or error-free;
    3. the results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable; or
    4. the quality of any service, information or other material obtained by the customer through the Service will meet his/her expectation.
  7. The customer explicitly understands and agrees that he/she shall use the Service at his/her own risk. The Service is being provided to him/her on an “as is” basis and CMHK explicitly disclaims any explicit or implied warranties (which include, without limitation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement of third parties’ rights). CMHK assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any customer’s communications or personalization settings or for any damage to the customer’s device and PC or loss of data resulted from using the Service (including without limitation, the download of any materials, data or information). The customer expressly relieves CMHK from any and all liabilities arising from the access or use of any part of the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by laws, CMHK’s aggregate liability to the customer under this agreement, at law or otherwise shall in no event be more than the service fees received from the customer for the immediately twelve months’ period prior to the occurrence of the defaulting event.
  8. The Service is for the customer’s personal and individual use only and he/she must not reproduce, resell, share, capture or forward any content obtained from using the Service.
  9. The contents, categories of contents and charges of the Service are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
  10. The customer may subscribe the Service at a Standard Monthly Fee of HK$48/month, or at a Special Monthly Fee of HK$38/month if he/she commits to a minimum service period of 12 months.
  11. The customer will receive activation link via SMS after subscribed successfully. The customer must activate the service with the link within 30 days from the date of sending out the SMS.
  12. Service fee should be paid in advance and on bill month basis. The customer is required to pay a full “Bill Month” service fee even if the Service is used for less than a month. Such fee will be automatically charged on customer’s CMHK mobile account and shown on monthly bill. No refund or exchange can be made once the service fee is paid by the customer.
  13. The customer shall inform CMHK via store or Customer Care Hotline for Service termination. Otherwise, CMHK shall continue to provide the Service and charge the relevant Service fee.
  14. Unless otherwise specified by the customer, the Service will continue to be provided to the customer after the expiry of the contract period and the Service will be switched to a then prevailing comparable plan on a non-contract basis that is specified from time to time.
  15. If the customer terminates the Service within the specified contract period, the customer will be charged for liquidated damages (which is the total amount of service fees for the remaining unexpired contract period).
  16. Any data usage generated by the customer who downloads the JOOX App through the data network will be deducted from the service plan. The customer may be charged additional data transfer fee if data usage exceeds the quota of the service plan. If the customer downloads the JOOX App overseas, he/she may be required to pay separately the relevant data roaming fee.
  17. Any data usage generated by the customer who uses the JOOX App through the data network will be deducted from the Data Pack. The customer may be charged additional data transfer fee if data usage generated by the JOOX App exceeds the quota of the Data Pack. If the customer uses the Service overseas, he/she may be required to pay separately the relevant data roaming fee.
  18. The customer who subscribes for the Service (regardless of monthly or 12-month contract) can enjoy 1GB JOOX local designated data usage per month, which waives the first 1GB local data usage generated by the JOOX App (local data usage generated by downloading the JOOX App excluded). Any additional local data generated will be deducted from the relevant Mobile Data Plan.
  19. The customer should check the compatibility of his/her device or PC before subscribing to the Service. To access the Service via the customer’s device, he/she must first download the JOOX App. To access the Service via the customer’s PC, he/she may use the JOOX website.
  20. Access to the Service via the customer’s device and PC is available within Hong Kong only and will not be accessible from overseas IP address or if streaming is blocked by his/her browser. Please check if the device or PC is equipped with internet connection as well as the necessary software and hardware required for access to the Service.
  21. No refund nor exchange can be made once the service fee is charged by CMHK and paid by the customer.
  22. No credit or refund is available for whatsoever reasons, including without limitation, in respect of any time when the Service or any part thereof is disrupted or suspended for maintenance or as a result of technical difficulties or a circumstance beyond CMHK’s reasonable control or where the customer is not able to access the Service or stream the contents therein for whatever reason. If CMHK is not able to receive payment from the customer by the means of payment method the customer has selected before the start of any subscription month, the Service will be automatically suspended until the service fee is received in full by CMHK.
  23. CMHK may (i) deactivate or suspend the Service or any part thereof, with or without notice to the customer, to carry out system maintenance, upgrading, testing and/or repairs; (ii) limit or suspend the customer's access to any of the Service with or without notice to the customer if CMHK is of the opinion that such action is appropriate as a result of the customer's use of the Service; (iii) take any steps or omit to take any steps, with or without notice to the customer, for any reason CMHK deems relevant to the management or the operation of any of the Service and CMHK's business, that may expand, reduce, modify, suspend, limit, make inaccessible or adversely affect the Service or any part thereof.
  24. CMHK may, upon discovery of suspected or inchoate, fraudulent, deceptive, unlawful or improper use of the Service by the customer, suspend the customer's access to any or all of the Service temporarily or permanently to prevent such conduct from taking place.
  25. The customer agrees to be bound by the End Users Licence Agreement of using the Service, which agreement can be found at http://www.tencent.com/en-us/zc/termsofservice.shtml.
  26. CMHK reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions herein at any time without prior notice. CMHK may post the changes to the above terms and conditions on its web site. The customer’s continued use or access to the Service conclusively demonstrates his/her acceptance of these changes. 
  27. The contents of the Service shall be provided by a third party supplier, namely Tencent International Service Pte.Ltd. The contents of the Service may change without any prior notice. CMHK shall not be responsible for any liability incurred from or in connection with the contents, the downloading of the JOOX App and/or use of the Service (including but not limited to the accuracy of the information provided by the third party supplier, and any fees, expenses, losses and damages incurred from or caused by the downloading of the JOOX App and/or use of the Service by the customer or any other persons). 
  28. In case of dispute in relation to the Service, CMHK reserves the right to make final decision.
  29. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English version of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall always prevail.
FAQ

Question 1: If I am a CMHK prepaid SIM card customer, can I subscribe the JOOX music VIP service?

This service is currently only available for CMHK postpaid customers, customers with prepaid card, or only voice service plan are not applicable for this service.

 

Question 2: If I am already using CMHK JOOX music VIP service paid with Standard Fee, how can I upgrade to the 12 months contract of CMHK JOOX music VIP service?

You can upgrade the service through any CMHK retail stores or calling our 24 hour customer service hotline 2945 8888.

 

Question 3: After subscribed the JOOX music VIP service successfully, can I use the service immediately?

Once subscribed JOOX music VIP service successfully, you will receive an activation SMS with a link which will redirect you to activate the service.

 

Question 4: I had successfully subscribed the JOOX music VIP service, why I still could not login in JOOX with VIP service?

Once you have successfully subscribed JOOX music VIP service, you would need to activate the service by clicking the link in the activation SMS.

 

Question 5: If I am already a VIP member of JOOX, can I still subscribe the JOOX music VIP service via CMHK?

You can still subscribe the CMHK JOOX music VIP service, and JOOX will keep your original VIP date and newly add CMHK JOOX music VIP service date. For example, your JOOX VIP still has 3 months, if you subscribe JOOX music VIP service via CMHK, your JOOX VIP is added to 4 months.

 

Question 6: If I am already a VIP member of JOOX, would CMHK JOOX music VIP service impact the current JOOX VIP account?

No impact. JOOX will keep your original music record. You would still need to activate the service by clicking the link in the activation SMS, and login though the account which you have applied on, in order to enjoy the service.
